A heads-up for parents as the April 18 Tax Day fast approaches: Families who were eligible for monthly child tax credit payments last year could qualify for an even bigger return this year. The problem is that recent polls show that many parents are unaware of what they can claim. The second half of the credit can only be claimed on your federal 2021 tax return.
