Providing Support for PBS.org
Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship- For many years, Lorenzo Washington and I served together on the Nashville PBS Community Advisory Board, bonding over our shared love of music.
In 2011, Lorenzo turned his own home into the Jefferson Street Sound Museum, preserving Jefferson Street's musical legacy.
- It has so many personal stories, you know, and it tells you about what's happening in the community.
I like the local stories and news that the station carries.
- [Les] Lorenzo believed in the power of local stories and his own story is one of Nashville's best.
We will miss our friend.
His family invites the community to a visitation Friday, October 30th at New Season Church and his funeral Saturday, October 31st at Olivet Missionary Baptist Church.
