In the summer of 1976, legendary performers took part in the CMA’s Family Reunion Show.
In 1976, the Bicentennial summer, country music fans flocked by the thousands to Nashville for the annual Fan Fair. Many came to see stars of the Wheeling Jamboree, National Barn Dance, Louisiana Hayride and Nashville's own Grand Ole Opry. They came to see performers who’d ridden the range with Roy Rogers and Gene Autry and were now appearing on the Country Music Association’s Family Reunion Show.
